In the year 2050, the rising senior population in the United States will pose several new challenges for both the healthcare sector and the social fabric of every American city.

The following projections are thus anticipated over the next 30 years:

  • There will be a 7% increase in the 65+ population;

  • There will be a 2.5% increase in the 85+ population; and

  • An expected total population of senior people at 83,000,000 as compared to 55,000,000 today (SeniorCare, 2020)

The problem then becomes very clear: how will American cities provide the next generation of seniors with proper housing and care, while making it as efficient and safe as possible?

The answer is to therefore integrate Wellness with Smart Technology in architecture via deployable senior care units. This is the concept behind CAP.Homes.

To achieve this goal, CAP.Homes has devised the following three-pronged strategy:

  • Anticipate & Automate the senior's every needs, such as for transportation, medication, nutrition & personal care;

  • Make senior living as Convenient as possible; and

  • Optimize the spatial needs of seniors to improve their overall lifestyle and well-being.

Thus by combining Smart Technology with Wellness, each individual deploy units, in its various symbiotic forms also (see below), will be able to manage every senior and their needs, all the while providing a higher quality of life for entire senior care communities.
